The Let’s Move campaign is celebrating two jam-packed years helping to end childhood obesity within a generation! Launched in February of 2010 by First Lady Michelle Obama, the campaign has done everything from cutting calories from food in the marketplace, to helping revamp school lunch regulations, to launching MyPlate and everything in between, all without missing a beat or an opportunity to play.c
To help celebrate Let’s Move’s monumental strides in the area of kids’ health, the National Restaurant Association is hosting a Kids LiveWell Twitter Party on Thursday, February 9th at 2 PM ET. Use hashtag #KidsLiveWell to join the party, ask questions and potentially win prizes including gift cards to some of your favorite restaurants.
Whether it’s planting a working school garden overflowing with fresh and ripe fruits and vegetables or serving up creative, fun and flavorful dishes made with kids and their health in mind, the Let’s Move and Kids LiveWell campaigns are promoting healthy lifestyles for kids and their families.
We look forward to seeing you at the party on Thursday to help celebrate!
