Menu Labeling
Menu labeling is once again making news.  While New York was announcing a delay in enforcing their labeling rules, FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, M.D., was outlining the agency’s commitment to ensuring clear and consistent nutrition information for consumers with the news that they “will provide additional, practical guidance on the menu labeling requirements by the end of this year.” For consumers, this means you may be seeing even more nutrition information on menus beginning May of 2018. For restaurants covered by the regulations, this means that the menu labeling rules are still scheduled to go into effect – and May 2018 is going to be here before you know it!

The Surprising Reasons You May Not Be Losing Weight
Losing weight can be complicated. It’s rarely as simple as calories in / calories out. Research has shown that what you eat, how much you eat, the amount of sleep, stress levels, type of exercise, hormones and more can all play a role in weight loss. Check out this list of reasons why you’re not losing weight to get back on track towards your goals.

Kick Up the Intensity to Boost Endorphins
It’s not news that exercise can boost mood.  Research has found this to be true again and again, linking exercise to reduced stress and anxiety and even a lower risk of depression. New research is digging even deeper, taking a closer look at the relationship between intensity and those feel-good hormones, endorphins. Let’s just say that it may be time to add a couple HIIT (high intensity interval training) sessions to the weekly routine!

Freshen Up Your Menu with This Salad
