Menu Labeling
Menu labeling is once again making news.  While New York was announcing a delay in enforcing their labeling rules, FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, M.D., was outlining the agency’s commitment to ensuring clear and consistent nutrition information for consumers with the news that they “will provide additional, practical guidance on the menu labeling requirements by the end of this year.” For consumers, this means you may be seeing even more nutrition information on menus beginning May of 2018. For restaurants covered by the regulations, this means that the menu labeling rules are still scheduled to go into effect – and May 2018 is going to be here before you know it!
