Is it any surprise that National Nutrition Month®
is one of our favorite times of year? In a nutshell, this annual campaign was created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) with the purpose of educating and informing the public on the importance of nutritious food choices as part of a healthy lifestyle. Every year, AND focuses on a theme to help guide the conversation. This year’s theme is “Savor the Flavor of Eating Right.”
A healthy lifestyle is about making healthy food choices an integral and enjoyable part of life. This March, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is encouraging individuals and families to “take time to enjoy food traditions and appreciate the pleasures, great flavors and social experiences food can add to our lives.”
